It is almost perfect for this purpose specifically because it has no metal parts to rust, and it is of an appropriate size for the space available on a dock. It also has a nice appearance. It's only security limitation is that although it can be locked, its overall structural strength is not so great that it couldn't prevent from being torn apart by an aggressive intruder. One important point: The lid can easily be damaged if it is open much beyond a 90 degree opening. The attachment provided by the maker to prevent this is much too weak. The owner should secure a lightweight line in such a manner as to prevent an opening of greater than 90 degrees. This can be done in many ways, so use your ...
